The ancient village of Skrip - olive oil

Leigh and Donna head into the clouds.
22 kilometers to Skrip. The last two were a steep grade up to the mountain village - the oldest settlement on the island of Brac.
An old castle, now a private home.
This guy's grandfather ran a olive oil press here and he's turning it into a museum.

We visited this lovely old lady who treated us to fresh bread dipped in her own oil. She and her husband live in an ancient house typical of peasants in days of old.

We purchased a litre of olive oil from that we hope makes it home without leaking in our luggage. (UPDATE: It made it home!)

New friends Kay and Ned Van Woert of Shelburne VT.

9k down the mountain back to Postira and home.
