Trogir

After a four bus trip up the coast we landed in another UNESCO World Heritage city, Trogir.

The Venetians ruled over this part of the Adriatic for centuries and its reflected in the architecture.

In the bottom of a church in the square is a memorial to townspeople who died in the war twenty years ago. Most of them were in their young twenties.

This is where the authorities would read proclamations a where official public activities would take place. Now, it's a great place to take a drink or a cup of coffee and watch the world go by.
Like many medieval cities, Trogir's streets are narrow, winding and beautiful.

Lunch with Bob Frawley and Marilyn McCabe from Saratoga Springs.

We walked into this open doorway to find a renaissance home being restored.
 Center courtyard.

Neighborhood game of Bocce on the way home.

Jim and Leigh Daly arrived today and we shared dinner.

Tomorrow we ferry to the island of Brac to begin the bike portion of the trip.
